Transgender & Fashion..!!!!

Everyone wishes to flaunt their beautiful look. With no curves on the body, it is difficult for a transgender to carry out a woman outfit but the drapes around their body-gives no less than a look of their desire. They want to dress like women, feel like women and even desire that their good-looks must be complimented.

When it comes to India and Indian society, clothing for the trans community is no doubt gets all the visual expressions before getting their part of acceptance and their transition to womanhood.  Visibility is the most powerful tool of the Fashion. On can bravely showcase their prettiness and life happening incidences with the personality they carry. But once the drape is unraveled one can very well understand the fact of injustice faced by them in gender-rigid society.

Presence of Anjali Lama’s in Fashion world made a huge flutter, as the first transgender model has walked down the ramp in India. After this she got so much popular that series of events got piled up with the bookings. This one incidence skillfully scribbles down its own story of success, that how visibility plays a key role in fashion industry thus brings a great change.

The most prominent identity of trans society is “Hijras” in India, they remodel -themselves with a saree or salwarkameez wear. Their  wo-manly faces does make-up like a Cis gender Indian women, even beautify their look with jewelry and long hair.Anyone of us has ever thought of how they get donned up for such a gender-rigid society, with all the hard done by them  for their uneven curves on the  body, when no one even cares to compliment it. Clothing is the powerful tool for gender expression and now Fashion Industry has begun to understand it.

When everything has started to change but for the betterment, we began to come across many incidences who favored transgender community. Last year, Gaurav Arora aur Gauri Arora contestant of Splitsvilla has rocked the internet; she has shared how hard it was to come out open in society with her needs open. But Fashion industry has welcomed it very respectfully despite the fact that some people still points at her but the bold figure is out with her look.

Let vision value what it see & Mind what it accept.
